Equestrian activity designed for experienced riders who are comfortable with the three gaits: walk, trot and gallop.
The itinerary consists of two rides totalling between 45 and 50 km spread over two days of riding. The first ride is between 28 and 30 km and the second around 20 km. Along the way, you will pass through landscapes of great geological, natural and cinematographic value, where characters such as ‘Indiana Jones’, ‘The Blond Guy’ and the ‘Dothraki’ have lived out their adventures.
The Tabernas Desert is considered the only true desert in Europe due to its arid characteristics. Its appearance and physiognomy are remarkably similar to those of the American deserts of Arizona, California, New Mexico and Nevada, which is why more than half of Europe’s Western film production took place in this region. The Tabernas Desert is the European Hollywood in all its essence. We offer our riders the chance to experience an adventure on horseback in these incredible and unique places.
FILM LOCATIONS
THE ITINERARY CONSISTS OF:
DAY 1: Arrival at the ranch by your own means. Accommodation at the ranch. Dinner not included (recommendations will be made). Contact with instructor and assigned horse. The kitchen at the accommodation can be used.
DAY 2: Breakfast and start of the first route. Throughout the day, you will travel through the different landscapes of the Tabernas Desert, with a few short stops for explanations from the guide and to take photographs. In these landscapes, you will discover various geological formations of great value, visit natural settings and one of the western towns, which are still used for filming and visits. Time for shows, visits and lunch, then back on the trail.
DAY 3: Breakfast and start of the second horseback riding route. Circular route to enjoy horseback riding.
End of the itinerary at the ranch. Departure from the accommodation. Voucher for tapas or set menu lunch in Tabernas.

ACCOMMODATION:
Accommodation is at the Posada del Rancho. It has 6 rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, two shared bathrooms/showers and a terrace with views of the Tabernas Desert.
INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE:
2 nights’ accommodation with breakfast included, guide-instructor, insurance, horses with saddles (Western or English) and saddlebags, visit to the Western village with lunch on the first day, lunch on the second day: tapas.
NOT INCLUDED:
The company’s insurance includes the mandatory use of a helmet.
If the rider brings their own horse, they must provide insurance that covers both the rider and the accompanying horse.
Personal travel insurance is recommended for all riders.

Requirements
- Designed for intermediate/advanced and experienced riders. It is essential to feel comfortable in all three gaits: walk, trot and canter. No refunds will be given if the rider is unable to complete the route due to lack of experience on long routes that require technical skill and good physical fitness
- 5/6 hours on horseback per day, depending on the pace of the group
- Min. age: 14 years – Max. age: 70 years
- Maximum weight: 90 kg
- You may bring your own horse. In this case, the horse’s nights in a box or paddock with water and fodder are included
